Cosmic Mongoose
ok then, there are several fan made supplements recently hit the pages,
we have

Juyaie - Abbai, Drakh and an EA ship
Darkness Rising - Alternate universe with new ships for almost everyone
Earth-Centauri war - Centauri, EA, Narn ships
Minbari Protectorate - new ships and variants for those races living under the wing of the Minbari

now then, from this wealth of vessels, there must be some that you might like to see made official. I mean, OK, there is nothing to say Matt and mongoose will listen, but they may at least see what we are after.
I can't really do a Poll as there are just too many ships.

my own personal choices would be my very own Drakh temple ship, and Kattaders G'Kar class. I have chosen these as they are fleets I play, no doubt if I played Minbari I'd be interested in the Esharan as the ultimate escort, and if I carried on with EA I would like the EAS titans.

For the Centauri, definitely would like to see the Ammar fast carrier, mainly because it WAS an official ship in B5Wars (yes yes I know, stuck record etc...)

And I havent actually looked at the other stuff too much but the main thing I'd like is for the Valerius to become an official MODEL (but I'd prefer it to replace the Adira officially.... It would need cleaning up a bit but would be stunning (which is not to knock Urobach at all, its a superb job but the casting isnt casting and the lines aren't QUITE proffessional quality and it would be even better if they were (it still beats the hell out of the 'official' Adira though :P)

I like the Drakh Heavy Scout, a ship that adds a little something to its fleets without being over the top.

I also like like the Nova Superior, mainly because the idea of a Shadow Nova is cool.

me thinks I am out of the loop on this one. I dont recall ever seeing those ships or the ships stat lines. Any chance of getting a link so I might be able to look through them?

Thanks

Juyaie and the earth centauri war are in the stickied player resources thread, the minbari protectorate link is about 3 posts below this (at the moment) darkness rising, ummm one moment. umm, I'll go find it

Hi All

Sorry, I have not put Darkness Rising out yet  - probably just seems that way with the numerous threads about it on here but I am hoping to put it out in December (ie this weekend).

thanks :)

Most of the EFNI ships look stunning, but I think that the Valerius is a stunning ship all round.

Bear in mind that the 'prize' from the Earth-Centauri war is a new ship for the winning faction; if we're very lucky we may see Matt Sprange floating around the event with a large brown envelope postmarked for Germany....

I'm looking forwards to Darkness Rising, as well - a well developed alternate history is always quite interesting (and Babylon 5 offers so many 'what if' places that history could diverge! Suppose the Drala Fi had targeted Sheridan's ship during it's initial pass, for instance...)

Sadly I wouldn't want o see the G'Kar as it would invalidate the very concept of the G'Quan.

I do like the stuff in Hiffano's Juyaie, I think the Abbai need some depth. Though I would prefer the Abbai new fighter was their own design rather than a bought frame. Maybe a joint project frame. The Milaie in particular was nice.

Darkness has some nice stuff, but I'll wait until its officially out. I do like the Vorlon additions.

both the narn ships from E/C war. EAS titans, hiffanos abbai ships. probably the chronos variants too.

the g'kar is differant to the g'quan based more on g'vrahn tech and so doesnt have the mass banks of secondaries but a far better beam.

Guess I see the G'Kar doing to the Narn what the old prefect/sulust did to the Centauri lists. They had other nice ships but they were not worth taking because a long range front arc heavy beam makes a mockery of the need for secondaries. The G'Vrahn is somewhat contraversial locally as the no brainer choice at War, so scaling it down I guess hits the same response.

Why take a ship that needs multiple arcs and several turns to get great damage output when I can chop a ship in half in the first turn with my beams, shifting targets easily as I get lucky or don't. Matter of role, brawler is the one role we think rarely pays off, sniper or medium range slasher are much better.

Still belongs in a different thread... I like the ship, just think it removes the remaining incentive to take a G'quan.

I agree with the Chronus variants, they'd make a nice addition to the Crusade fleet with is a bit starved for choice right now.
