what do you whant next year for conan

toothill man

Mongoose
I would like a epic boxed campain globe trotting across the known world fighting evil for loot and wild women

more area covered by the hardbacks including the black kingdoms

and more of the smaller adventure books covering more of howards stories via rpg format

if it is via ogl or runequest engine I am not fussy but not intreasted in re- buying the whole line as that is the trick that caused me to abandon wizards so many years ago

Would like to see the northern barbarian lands covered.

Hyboria's Empires released.

A good campaign spanning many nations.

A bestiary.

And of course, more region sourcebooks.

I wouls like to see Conan in some pants instead of some skirt.
Then I would like to see a Source book on the northern lands including the Border Kingdom, Brythonia, and Hyperbotea

I would also like to see the regional sourcebooks with more pages so that Vincent can add even more worthwhile information.

Am I alone in not wanting a big epic campaign?

Personally I always find running someone else's campaigns more work than making my own, the bigger the campaign is the more work it takes.

Furthermore I'm not too keen on nation books, I don't like to be in one area for too long and the detail in Road of Kings suits me perfectly.

I'm looking forward to the Empires book, that sounds like it could be very useful.

What I would really like to see is more things like Ruins. Lots of ideas that I can slot into my campaign when I'm feeling a bit devoid of imagination or I just fancy some of the very good stuff it contains.

I know I'd get excited about a book that could offer stock encounter locations. A ruined temple, a pirate hideout, a slave traders camp etc. A few pages per location with some adventure seeds and a nice map would be fantastic.

i also am not to keen on havng a premade epic campaign.

a book of generic adventure seeds and encounters would be nice. but i still would like a bestiary book.

thought that with slaine :? but it was the horned god campain that made support for the game rock solid.

conan is a epic world that needs a epic campain of the sort of strength that made masks for CoC a event and strengthens the whole world dragonlance is another one that is remembered by all who played it. 8)

I think Vincent should slow down 'cause I'm getting behind on my Conan reading.
Perhaps Vincent should get a plane ticket for Barbados or Jamaica, stick his toes in the sand and chill by bikini-watching.
You know what, I could use some of that too. 8)

I dont think you can go wrong with single adventure modules. The more the better. Scatter them across Hyboria, include interesting locales - cool maps and tailored NPCs. Throw in some new critters and such and youve got a sure hit.

I'm asking for a long and great and epic campaign for so much time that I can't remember anything but the poll I organized then. :?

Long, epic campaigns are wonderful but difficult to manage. Id say impossible with most player's hectic schedule competing with thier play. I find it far more realistic and far less frustrating to plan on getting a group together for one long session, or perhaps a couple short ones, and play through a single adventure. Then link the action with a bit of narrative and a few weeks later, do another one.

Im also thinking of the Conan stories, especially those by REH. Short "snapshots" into the life of a hero. I think this is a good way to approach gaming in Hyboria as well.

Personally I have no interest in an adventure that would take more than 3 4-hour sessions to complete.

- Turan & Hyrkania
- Vendhya
- Black Kingdoms
- A campaign (as long as it's good, I don't care if it's a boxed set, a hardback or series of small 32-page connected modules)
- A 'surprise' supplement (you know, something that isn't a nationbook/adventure, like Ruins)

A Kull Campaign Expansion

I second that! :D
Info on those old kingdoms like Thule, Commoria, Valusia, etc. on a good, relatively plausible map (made by Mr. Rippke and Mr. Darlage!). 8)
w/ Thurian-age goodies (major artefacts) that might have survived the Cataclysm into our beloved Hyborian age?

I second the suggestion for more "Ruins of Hyboria" type books. I just finished reading mine and I'm convinced that Vincent is as good a GM - if not better- than he is a writer. Being able to expand on the subject matter (unlike sourcebooks that sometimes feel limited in the subject matter if your campaign is nowhere the region) seemed to free up Vincent creatively, and I think "Ruins of Hyboria" is easily the best and most beneficial Conan RPG supplement since Road of Kings!!!

Also, as one enjoying the Age of Conan novels a great deal, I would love to see Vincent write a Age of Conan trilogy. I'm sure it would be great!

I would like to see a book with stats for Conan's companions and foes, everything from Yara, to Gorulga, Totrasmek, Juma, Yezdigerd, etc... Some of Conan's greatest foes have been human as opposed to supernatural.

This:
Conan And The Shadow Of The Sorcerer
"This enormously expansive campaign takes players from their formative levels in the seaports of Argos to the horrors of the Nameless Isla before throwing them into the dramatic chaos of the Black Kingdoms, finally reaching its dramatic conclusion in mysterious and secretive Stygia. As well as containing the three scenario books, the set also contains maps, playing counters and helpful handouts designed to make the game feel like a real Howardian adventure. "

Still would like to see a book or books on the North. Other than that, Vendya, Turan and Hykrania.

Epic campaign would be cool.

Keep pumping out the single adventures as well.
