What are the next books for Glorantha?

Brithos is important but I can't see it being covered in detail as it is a weird place ful of NPCs.
Agreed that Brithos, as the last remnant of Danmalastan, would be thoroughly weird, not to mention frighteningly dangerous to adventure in (a reverse-Dorastor?).

That said, a campaign based around a clandestine God Learner mission to steal Zzabur's Bronze Book could be fun, if lethal for any PCs who are caught (and end up as the Blue Book's dust cover).

Alternatively, a Seshnela sourcebook could cover Brithos/Brithini Caste behaviour in fine detail if the Arolanit section was large enough.

Any thoughts?

What would be good anyway would be to have some annoncement about the schedule/agenda because we don't have anything since May or so.

May be but the problem of Mongoose is that when they have a new edition or project, they don't publish anything during 6-9 months.
Though I can understand this is good for fans who don't feel cheated, I think old gamers  have already developped their own gaming system and just don't care if the next version comes tomorrow (IMO).

New edition necessitates redoing the core features and supplements again.

I think we saw parts of the new MRQ in Guilds Factions & Cults. It seems to be a pretty substantial overhaul of all the core features. Which, in turn, requires revision of the Glorantha/Players book and the Cults stuff too.

yes, something, anything about Glorantha.

As you've seen from other threads, your prayers have been answered. It's Pavis Rising* in the New Year

*Please note, requires new edition core rulebook and companion also available from Mongoose Publishing

Thanks a lot for the info. It's the first time I hear from it.
Pavis second Age should be quite interesting.

A little Bump.

What else is scheduled for Glorantha? Will we see Castle of lead and other campaigns and/or setting with scenarios?

No idea. But it still shows November:

The first couple of sample copies have made it back from the printers. The rest of the print run will be hot on their heels.

Well, I recieved my copy of Pavis Rises this morning from the pre-order :)

I must say it looks pretty good - Ive only read 20 pages so far...

Its extremely pleasant to see how 2nd age Pavis ties up with third age Pavis/Big Rubble and I can see some nice step to integrate the two with the same plan/landscape of the walls, gates, hills etc and cant wait to to read some of the later stuff with intruging man rune/giant statue illustrations built into the city... Ive not spotted the great library that I seem to recall was mentioned in the past and indeed Balastors barracks :) but Im sure Loz hasnt forgotten them!

Although its way way too early to fully comment of what Ive seen, it seems like its going to be a very useful addition - and perhaps spark an explansion or two... Whilst perhaps the days of giant city maps with street-layouts and points of interest are a thing of the past, I cant help be recall how wonderfully Pavis (the box set) worked seemlessly and greatly helped whereas I would loved to have seen this for the districts of the city.

Liked having a table of names for High priests, if theyre in a position of power but personally I sure hope an expansion comes fleshing out both the district layouts and the major personalities.

Worth the money folks even after only 20 pages!!!

Indeed I hadn't forgotten - both are post the time period for the setting, hence they're not included.

And many thanks for the positive feedback - even after only 20 pages!

As pre=orders are now starting to receive their copies of Pavis Rises, does that mean the rest are on their way to distributors yet? When do you think Esdevium Games in the UK will get their stock?

Not very desperate, honest guv.

I just dropped into a FLGS that I happened to spot today and picked up the Compendium, I asked about Pavis Rises but they didn't know when it was coming in. They had a lot of MRQ1 books and almost no MRQ2 stuff in, though, so I don't think they are very up do date on all things RQ. Oh, they also had a copy of the Games Workshop RQ Monsters book, and Strangers in Prax. I thought I'd fallen through a hole in the space/time continuum for a moment. The shop was called Area 51...
