Web Site Fun and Games

Hi,

The search needs re indexing which will take a few hours and make the site quite slow, so I am going to set it off overnight tonight.

Regards

Tom

Guess its still very much a worki in progress as at the moment the forum crashes every other time I log in - on a good day.

I have subscribed to threads and keep getting update e-maisl about new posts from a non Mongoose e-mail address instead of or in some cases as well as the usual from the rulesmaster e-mail.

The e-mails are perfect versions of teh expected one, so I'm pretty sure it isn't spam - kind of worried it might be a users address which would be a rather unfortunate error.

Should be fixed now!

I'm OK with the new website.

One thing I could do on the old site was to list:-
1. Last month's releases (important if you are buying from a FLGS)
2. This month's releases
3. Next month's releases (to budget for them)

I am trying to search for sorcery, but, if I search on a specific forum, say, Legend/ RunequestII, nothing comes back.
I read that you were re-indexing the sites, and this seems to have partially worked, since if I do a search for sorcery with no forum restrictions it brings back 23 pages of posts, but, I didnt see any relating to Legend/ RunequestII.

Ian: Might be there'd be some copyright issues - a company is more prone to being sued... but I'd suggest that if they made sure that the person sending the item is either the person who's named as the copyright holder on the design or that it has a declaration that there is no copyright on the item either on the document or included with the emails (and held on file).

Other than that detail, I think it'd be a great idea, if they have sufficient room for the files (I have no idea if they host their own webserver or rent it).

Matt, came across a bug in the website customer account function. If I try to login, it won't accept the email/password. It won't send a reset password to an email/account that is on file. I discovered, though, that if I clicked on the USA "flag" to set my currency, there was no longer a login issue. I don't know if it's because I registered while set to a particular currency or what, but it was a total accident that I got around it. Otherwise I'd be tempted to create a new account again, thinking I was lost in the database or something.

Hi mechascorpio,

The two sites (US/UK) use seperate logins; you may have been trying to log into the UK site, which will not recognise your login.

I don't have permissions to view the new card/board games forum. Just me, or is it locked at the moment?

Could use a little more spacing in some cases.

Didn't know Traveller had a : "Supplement 10: Merchants andThe Cursed Earth Cruisers".

Should show release date on page on pre-orders.

Should have a page showing upcoming releases and their expected dates like there used to be...

Any plans to restore the RSS feed for Planet Mongoose? (Or maybe it was just an announced URL change).

Some items open new windows and some don't when you click on them. Example:

Lone Wolf 16, same window.
Fleets of FS, new window.
