ok Im gonna be honest here

i dont think i like it.

now only way to forum is via the side bar, i always prefered using the top bar.

when i click on Forum it opens a new window rather than using existing window, again not to keen on that.

any ways just thought id say somthing, no idea if any body else agrees with me or not.

The only nasty thing is the forum opening in a new tab but I can live with that.

I have to agree with the forums opening in a new window is mildly annoying. I use Firefox, and it will not even let me right-click and choose to open it in a new tab.

As a result I have changed my bookmarks so the forums are my point of entry to the website, rather then the front page.

Personally, I have the forum bookmarked seperately from MGP, so it doesn't affect me

That's funny, it automatically opens a new tab for me when I do it.

Just found a check-box in the Tabs options. "Force links that open new windows to: Open in new tab."

Fixed now.

I do the same as Reborn and use this as the address to access the forums:

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/index.php

It also has the advantage that using this method to access the forums allows you to use specific links to individual threads and even individual posts.

not realy, i dont tend to use forums that open extra windows, you probably noticed my post count has droped since the new front page, i just cant be bothered with extra windows opening that somtimes crash my PC, its all about ease of use, Im not a computer super nerd, so going into my browser and changing options as sugested above all for one website on the net, just isnt my thing, also i tried this mornng and still no joy.

does seem im not the only person unkeen on the change though, one of the key reasons bar rules i didnt get into AT-43 was the websight just peed me of, by trying to be to clever, i used to use the Flames of war web site alot as well, again since new launch it sucks and my post count is now non existant as is my looking around at stuff, that normaly ended up in some knee jerk purchases.

Games like BF-evo for me are very web based, and if the site for me isnt 100% fun to use then its a put of for the game for me personaly.


Either way the point is the update is less user friendly ? wich sort of makes the small update redundant !!!

I have no problems with the new front page. It's different but not a problem for me. Most of the tabs I didn't use. I just click on the big colorful icon for the game that I want to look at and it takes me to that page.

As for opening a new window or tab... If it crashes your computer, you might want to have a computer nerd/geek look at it. You might have other pc problems that you don't know about. I had similar problems before my power supply died.

If youthink this is bad, you should see what they did to the alderac forums, this is nothing. There are workarounds for this situation, not so Alderac.
