WAW so what size game ?

Mr Evil

Mongoose
well title says it all realy lol..

with final paper in have been rapidly trying to catch up with hobby since last night !!!!

So what size forces are you using in your games on average ? and what size tables do you play on, reason i ask is ive got a pile of stuff being thrown together (pics soon) and wondering what size point game to have as our basis :D

1500pts seems to be a fair size to go for which allows you to take any unit you might have but not all of them. 2000pts is also good if you fancy taking a lot of armour or even 1000pts if you want to take mainly infantry with a bit of support - any size really LOL

For me its in 90% of the games 1500 points.
Maximum 2000...

Edited: The maximum 2000 is there because I really do not like games that take more then 2 h...

We have been playing 2000 points mainly, on a 6 x 12 board. If we play on a 4x6 we usually do 1500.

Hard to play larger than this because you run out of support and armor asset slots - which is a good thing.

Easy to play larger - just start anew platoon!
However - contrary to Matt I would not recommend games over 3000 pts.
It can become a GW-ish expierience, once you have no more reactions you just watch (for a long time at 3000+ pts) how your troops are shot at...

I would need another squad to make a second legal platoon as I only have three squads for my US infantry.

While we're talking about it - do the rules mean that you get one platoon per 1500 or full 1500? I mean, can I make a 1500 point platoon, then a 1,000 point platoon?
