Wave 1 figure shots from local store on my terrain

shows how amazingly detailed they are, and how they are painted better than what most gamers can produce them selves...

awsome

I reckon DDD figs are the same size as TAG figs? Cause I was planning to use TAG figs for Brits. Also, could someone remind me of the exact measurement of the BVE figs from foot to eye?

My faith in this line is restored and I will be purchasing a boat load of them.

With these great photos and the recent wave 3 stuff, I'm beginning to feel the same way. Good for Mongoose. Here's hoping the 19th goes off as anticipated. :D

I'm just sayin' that those look like Hellfire impacts! I've spoken to a tanker that took two turret side armor hits from a sov 125mm ds (roughly 1000 m range of shot) and they thought they were blowing tortion bars on the first one. Some of the ultra modern double charge penetrator HEAT type rounds have much better potential. For all of our sakes lets hope that man portable unguided (ie. cheap) stuff never ever gets good enough to penetrate that much chobham formula armor!

Mr. Sprage, are you guys planning on going back later and filling in some of the older equipment (stuff from the 90's and today) to fill in for National Guard/Reserve, second line troops, late conflict replacements or castoffs used by poor countries?

Mega thanks for all the comparison photos! I know now that I'll really love the real things. I always like more true scale stuff and hate the trend towards gigantor figures. If I had the patience to paint more than a few figs I would have converted to 1/72 models for wargaming years ago. I love the MGP figs!!! :D

(I want my minis!)

Wexford Hill Hobbies! OMG! I Live out in Greenville,Oh. I check in with them about once a month.
They have any idea what day they believe they will have these for sale? Checked with this on FEB 5th all they said is when they ship'em.

When is your next demo session?

Oh, and great pics by the way.

Any chance you snapped a photo of them next to your DDDs so we can see how they scale next to each other?

Posted these originally on evocommand.com - here they be again - various other figs side by side w/ Wave 1 samples

Comments welcome!

I know this is a bit cheeky as the photo's you have provided are excellent but would it be possible to get a comparison between these Evo figs and a couple of SST MI figures so I can get a better impression of the scale. The GW figs give a good account but I don't own any of them anymore! Gave up that money trap a while ago.

I agree with MR EVIL that they are fantasically detailed and painted. They are far better than any other prepaints on the Market by far.

Sorry boss - I don't have an SST - but may be tempted by SST Evolution - the comparison photo w/the unpainted IG Medic or the unpainted DDD M203 gunner.

The DDD stuff is comparable to the TAG range - just not as chunky & the TAG stuff has goofy (IMHO) helmet porportions.

Sorry Mr. E didn't take my Corgi guys to the shop - they are noticable smaller than the real figs - of course you know that by now :) :)

funny you should say that, there not to bad in diferance in size !!!

untill you put them side by side its hard to believe !!!

at least I have some suppression counters in the making :)
if I ever get around to it

WOW! They dont look too bad against the old Grenadier minis (EM4 now).
I have loads of them, I can use the scale for this in my other game (come to overlord, see it with its awesomeyness).
