Sorry guys - despite my best efforts the event is carrying on so wont be able to make it

hope it all goes well :D - sounds like its Gregs Crew vs the Walsall Crew?

ooooo kkkkkkk

my alternate babysiter, well, um, My mum that is, her feller just got diagnosed with Swine flu... it's a conspiracy I tells ya... so needless to say baby will not be staying there! and having seen Grandad on Sunday, I need to keep an eye on her... and me for that matter.. oink....

Hello me again to mess things up - I am now definately Available - Boss just gave me the day off.

Just need to chat Greg up for a lift - but my red Centauri will be ready for war!!

happy days :D

That is a right result fella!!! :D :D :D

If you can get to Greg's for about 7:30 on Saturday, we'll sort out travel there... 8)

Oh no! I've just realised that's another Centauri fleet in the mix... added to Richard and Co's preference for the fan heads, I may have to re-think my fleet... :?

you really need to sort that colour blindness thing. most definately orange

That's what we told him Hiff, but Charles insists that it says RED on the paint pots... though he did buy them CMOT Dibbler :)

Gaaah! Dammit burger, it's conspiracy
Charles can come now you can't.
Now i can't make orange Centauri jokes incase Charlse changes his mind again ;)

Burger, quit your job right now! thats an order

Lee did pop in, and we had a little chat about the Beerylon 5 project.

Excellent day out, just a shame that we lost a few peeps in the few days beforehand...
Another brilliantly organised tourney by the Warlords, with great scenarios and terrain. We look forward to the next one... A champion has to keep himself sharp you know...

I see there is a topic for the Beerylon project on the "Lost Universe" forum, but given there are no posts thus far it doesn't shed much light on it.

IMHO, it's either:

a) A drinking game based on Babylon 5 :)

b) An alternate "universion" featuring such ships as the Shirlan, Albeo Stella, Amiga, Helios, and the G'Shite! ;)

Regards,

Dave

A most excellent day. A fun day with good people. Next year will try and beat Ken to 1st place :D.
Don't worry, I'll hopefully be able to make it next year so Ken won't be winning again... :P

It's a project to arrange events now that Mongoose are no longer able to.

Well we were going to discuss it on katadder's forum but since the Mongoose forums didn't disappear as expected, no reason not to just discuss it here instead.

Well thats that done for another year  ;)
A very big thank you to those who did turn up (the glorious few).
The tourney wouldn't have been possible and probably would have been cancelled on the day if it wasn't for the extreme generosity of the forum guys who turned up.
Not only as more of you guys turned up than our own guys, but because (and i'm rather ashamed to admit it) if it wasn't for the extra cash that Kenny, Greg, Paul, charles, Diesel and Simon kindly put up to help cover the cost of the room (on top of their ticket fees) the day would have left the club seriously out of pocket.
I really can't thank you guys enough.

Anyway, at the end of the day the prize winners were:-

1st place: KennyBoy (2nd year running).
2nd place: Clanger (A near miss for 1st).
3rd place: Simon (can’t remember his forum name  )
Most sporting: Da Boss (Yes a Centauri got most sporting   )
Best painted fleet: Starlynx (Narn)
Wooden Whitestar: Centauri-Admiral  (it's best not to ask  )

I had to play to make up the numbers so didn’t have time to take photo’s during games, however Grunvald took some of the winners with their certificates which he’ll post.
The only photo I took was one outside when Grunvald and I first arrived before the church was opened up for us, I thought that someone was really eager for the tourney.
Alas, he wasn’t waiting for us
