Warlock of Firetop Mountain - 25th Anniversary Edition

hal

Mongoose
OK not Lone Wolf but I saw the 25th Anniversary Edition of Warlock of Firetop Mountain today. Looked very nice. It was in hardcover, had a map and pages of additional notes of the history of Fighting Fantasy books.

Linkage??? :D
Sadly, the whole FF line isn't available in the US.
Last year I looked into getting the reprints, but couldn't get them here.

You can buy them from amazon.co.uk (not com). They've been very quiet recently and I'm worried they've stopped :(.

There is, but usually they ahve some indication of the next book due, though theres nothing in the latest, nor anything on Amazon

Howl of the werewolf - got it. 515 sections. Much bigger than the usual 400 of FF - any coincidence? TBH i'm surprised they didn't produce 551 sections just to make a point!!! They must be feeling the pressure. Good book though.

I doubt they'll stop making them since they're the only popular products that Wizard do. The reason for the lack of news is probably the fact that there won't be another release until April next year and perhaps because the guy who runs the website seems to have disappeared for a while.

Haven't stopped; apparently there is a brand-spanking new book out called Howl of the Werewolf.

Ah well you see I finaly got round to registering at the site and got two emails. One confirming my registration and the second one asking what I thought of the "member's package" that was supposed to have been emailed to me. It still hasn't arrived and the site's forums are down (no link to them and following the forum link from the email goes to a dead/locked archived page with nothing visible on it).

So I was assuming there's some kind of problem there. Plus they've taken down their webshop now.

Yep, same page as I was directed to before. It won't let me log in and I registered a few weeks ago.

I sent an email to Wizard Books asking about the HB Warlock but have not yet gotten an answer. It is very perplexing that the FF books are not available in the US at all. A sinister, gov't ban perhaps? :?

I looked into getting them from amazon.co.uk, but zounds are they expensive, even for PB's!

What I meant was that they are most likely banned in the US for some reason.
I tried to get them shipped into the US from amazon.ca, but they wouldn't and the publisher hasn't gotten back to me. Very odd indeed! :?

Nice, I'm also a collector of ff books. Personally I find its binding to be more reassuring than that for the lone wolf collector's editions, but that could be due to the thinner pages as well as the smaller size of the book. Perhaps the binding problem for the new lone wolf books could be resolved with thinner paper for the pages, and stronger backing for the cover.
