Wanted: One Good Man with US Military Knowledge

We have a new project that we are considering for release next year, a miniatures game set in the Vietnam War.

We want to do right by the subject material, and so we find ourselves in need of someone with detailed knowledge of this war, who can put up with some really dumb questions at times, and find multiple source references if need be.

In return, we can offer a front row seat in the development of this game, full credit in any final product, and lots of free goodies _way_ before their release dates. At the very least you'll get a couple of full armies out of it.

This project is something of a slow-burner, so after our initial slew of questions, the workload is going to be fairly miniscule. You just need to take the 'silly' queries with good grace!

If you are interested, please drop me a line at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com, with a few words about your experience/knowledge.

If you know anyone who might be interested, you are welcome to pass this message on to them.

Interesting - What about other settings e.g. Korea etc?

Flames of War has World War 2 well covered (Battlefront Miniatures have also done some Vietnam stuff as well) - but you have all the wars, conflicts and small actions that took place during the cold war.

If you really want to "do right by the subject material" you need to get someone on board with relevant NVA/VC experience as well, otherwise you risk turning out just another Vietnam game that, whether by design or otherwise, takes a largely US perspective. Shoot, you would probably find a great benefit in getting advice from someone who was ex-ARVN.

Played out right, you could have a really good USP, with the right experience.
