It was supposed to have more attack dice too.

I heard it was supposed to be a 20AD Super AP Anti Fighter Beam but they lowered it due to someone suggesting that might be too strong.
 
Hey that AF beam came in handy in a pickup game vs. Sheridan on a white star too. I was dilgar, but the drakh were on my team, so in this instance I like it :D
 
Oh, don't get me wrong, the anti-fighter on that beam is very handy, but it's a blatant typo that was never meant to be lol

If it was truly intended, WHY put the most powerful beam the Drakh have in the rear arc of what is probablt their most capable ship?


And as for the light raider, wasn't it also supposed to have 4 interceptors?

In fact, if that is how it was intended, it would probably be the most powerful beam in the galaxy!!! 30" anti-fighter... turn 1 remove entire fighter screen by splitting the beam across all of them. It would be even better fighter clearance tool than the Narns have!

But its quite obviously a typo, I don't know why Mongoose can't just admit it. Now, whenever anyone claims a rule is correct because it was on rulesmasters, the response is always "oh like Drakh Cruiser's anti-fighter beam?". Rulesmasters (and therefore the forum in general) has lost all credibility for being a place to go for rules clarifications and official rulings.
