Ok, with the release of the new Fleets book some NA players in my area have pointed out that the Vuldrok should be able to capture ships as well.. Looking over the rules and fluff, it would make sense for the Vuldrok to be able to capture and use ships. So below are the rules we have come up with to allow this.. (parts of the info come direct from there fluff)
So i would like everyone comments and opinions...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vuldrok Capturing Vessels
The Vuldrok encourage piracy, not only as a means of diverting discontent among landless young warriors but to enrich themselves, granting successful pirates returned lands and honour in exchange for a share of captured wealth.
Any Vuldrok may include two captured ships for every 1,000 points in their fleet, or part of. These ships may be chosen from any fleet list and may not equal or exceed the cost of the most expensive ship in the fleet. In addition, the total cost may not exceed a third of the fleet’s total points value.
Any captured ships that have shields will have the shield generators stripped out and replaced with armour plating. To represent this take the ships original shield score minus 1 to get the new armour score for the ship. Alternately If someone captures a Vuldrok ship, you take there armour score and add 1 to it get its shield score.
Players should feel free to ‘redecorate’ captured ships in their own Fleets paint scheme!
