vote MRQ GOOD or BAD

YES.

MRQ set out to be an update to the classic for the 21st century, and it succeeded on those terms. Whether or not you like that update is a matter of personal opinion. (Remember, some RQ2 fans hated RQ3 back in 1984 too...)

I am delighted to see a core rulebook that isn't a crippled version of the game available for a realistic price. Overjoyed to see the necessary Glorantha material coming out in a matter of months rather than years. Thrilled to bits to see a publisher with balls throwing some proper marketing muscle behind it.

This is easily the best year for RQ since the glory days of 81/82/83. Nuff said!

Well said, sir! IMHO, as an old-time RQer of over 20 years playing, the rules update is the nub of the release. Add 2nd age Glorantha, Lankhmar, maybe Conan, could hardly be better; though how come Pinnacle snagged Solomon Kane for their (admittedly good) Savage Worlds system. That would have been a background worth RQing.

Cheers

Dave

YES...I really like the BRP system, I have for over 20 years. I don't really care about Glorantha, I am glad for those of you that do, but I am into making up campaign worlds of my own. I am looking forward to the Runequest Companion, the monster book and the Magic of Glorantha book (for the Dragon magic, becouse I do have Dragonewts in my game, and whatever godlike magic their enemies use, that sounds perfect for the long dead Atlantean Empire in my Kanos campaign).
