Vincent Darlage, Please update your Conan website

Spectator

Mongoose
Dear Vincent,
Your website http://www.enworld.org/Inzeladun/conan.htm was one of the best (along with Thulsa's) for Conan oriented stuff. unfortunately some or your links are non functioning. (Eg on Caonan the Zuagir level 14, the Zabibi link is a dead one.

I hate to see your great effort go into disrepair. I still use it frequently for reference purposes. It's still 85% solid, but some of the linked characters you statted are not coming up.

Thanks so much and keep doing great things.

I will see what I can do. Since writing for Mongoose, I haven't had much time to work on personal things such as the site. I am not even sure what the password is anymore, but at the moment I find myself with some spare time, so I will see what I can do.

Does this mean you don't do anything Conanesque anymore?

It means I have some spare time right now. Like most of us today, I tend to have several irons in the fire - and right now a few of those irons were taken out temporarily for various reasons, leaving me with some spare time.

It was actually Vincent's page (then subsequently Thulsa's) that led me to an interest in the Mongoose Conan game (even though his site is for D20).

I hope mongoose continues to use Vincent as the key resource he is in the Conan world going forward. It's a big factor in whether or not I choose to buy a Conan product if Vincent has written it.

It's too bad he probably can't update the site to conform to the Mongoose game -- why give away free what someone else will pay you for.

Same for me, too. I had no interest in D&D (since my miserable experiences in '81-'82 with that game   ) and didn't want to start it up again, but.....
When idly surfing the net, I came across Vincent's great site (and later Thulsa's 8) ) and was fascinated with how he converted characters from REH's stories into the new (for me at least) 3.0 rules. It's all been downhill from there!

Now I am cursed unto the last generation to spend any loose cash!
