Victory at Sea FAQ - Son of Returns. . .

being one of the biggest complainers around her let me say ...
wait for it ...
thanks!
this is much better than the initial draft and was posted quicker than i had hoped for!

A couple of clarifications on the new FAQ:

1) Launnching Observation aircraft: Use the same rules as other aircraft, however those rules (P.13) require the Carrier trait.

2) I assume One-Shot weapons firing beyond max range would follow similar logic to Slow Loading weapons?

All in all, much improved though.

I wasn't confused about putting out fires... now, I am.

From the FAQ-> "if the roll exceeds seven"; to me the only way to "exceed" seven is to score eight, which is different from the rulebook->"seven or more". Are fires now more difficult to extiguish, or is this wording wrong?

And following on from that the rules on pg 13 also say you can launch 2 flights per turn.

So... do you need the carrier trait "and" how many observer aircraft can be launched in a turn from one ship.

but I wouldn't think you could get two obs craft off in one turn.

Some ships have more than one launch ramp...

I don't mind either way but as written you can launch 2 observers per turn.

As written, barely anyone can lauch observers, because most ships with the Aircraft trait don't have the Carrier trait.

I'll wait for an answer from Mongoose

Hence why I mentioned both glitches in my post... It may be the intent that only one craft can be launched and they dont need the carrier trait... but as it is written thats not the case.
