I still haven't gotten all the fleet lists in either. When that happens, I'll compile them and send them out with the campaign "map" for your studying pleasure.

In a campaign, 5 players can mean that potentially one player has 5 games!

Didn´t this come up after the finals of the VASSAL tourney? Someone wanted to organize a VASSAL campaign (Romu, I think?), but I´ve never heard of it again...

yeah, i'm still thinking about it.
Just been too damn busy in the last months.

FYI to Campaign players: Looking at the e-mailed list, I would like to clarify that my listed fighters at the end of my fleet rooster is the total accumination of my fighter compliment. I guess i didn't submited the proper format for the rooster. They are not, so far, seperate from their designated motherships, nor are they additional purchase flights.

Hrm, I guess I should have ask for some clarification onf 'no rules' part of the campaign, as to pertaining to if we're using admiral and their flagship rule?

I ask this since I notice no flagship has been designated on other fleets via by raising the priorty level of the in question ship.

If not, that would free up 1 FA pt for me and slightly change my fleet rooster.

I don't see why you couldn't have and admiral. Its in the rules, its allowed.

wow, the "map" going to be a hot bed, especially when you have 3~4 fleets geared towards high intensity warfare and hence need to aquire a good amount of RR to requisition their main assests

hmmm that brings on an interesting point: when I look at the map I see 2 target's of opportunity where I think almost all fleets will attack.

So how will it be handled if more then one player attacks the same location? (one big battle? or multiple ones?)

Once a player decides to attack an occupied location, no one else may nominate to attack it; so it will come down to the initiative rolls for highly contested locations.

Shadows is the last player? I thought Drazi was our last player...

Nope, I'm the Drazi player btw. kinda fitting that the shadow player is on stand-by, kinda gives the impression all us lesser races were thrown into some sort of arena to amuse 'em

and since there are 2 known key stragetic objectives he might enter the fray sooner than expected if it turns out to be a bloody start

Oh, and are we meeting in the lobby in vassal? or using some sort of instant messenger/game invoice/ mIRC?

I just sent an email to all the participating members with an update on the fleet lists and a slightly larger map (more players). I would like to meet tonight to start the first round of the campaign. This means, we should roll for initiative and designate targets. You don't have to fight your battle tonight, that can be arranged for a later date, no later than next Thursday.

If its not convenient, please let me know and we will do it tomorrow night.


I forgot, we are meeting at the Vassal lobby.

1st Meeting was a success. Only one poor soul was unable to attend (he had a good excuse though, at work).

Played 2 campaign rounds. Only generated one battle on the second round. Vorlon(defending) vs Shadows blockade runner, War level. Will be played out this Sunday at 3pm pst if anyone is interested.
