I prefer the lupine look to the more canine looking art in the preview, or did I miss something explaining it in the text?

That I don't know... I do know that in DGP's "The Flaming Eye" campaign book there were Vargr showing up with floppy ears.

Guess we'll have to wait and see. Maybe it's a tribute to Slough Feg's Traveller album. :D 8) The character appeared more canid than lupine on the album cover.

Does it come with a pronunciation guide for the planets?
The majority of those look like someone used a random letter generator.

Just growl a lot.

I like the look on the new S&P.

Already thought of a way to rationalise it in my TU

The Aslan Book has a pronunciation guide. The old CT Vargr Alien Module had a pronunciation guide (and a word generator), so I expect the new version will have all that stuff too.

There are even websites where you can get randomly generated words using those guidelines...

HERE

Much easier than rolling dice or writing your own computer program.

The Aslan stuff didn't change from the CT book so I don't expect the Vargr stuff will either.

Yes, there is a pronounciation guide, much like the Aslan one (but for Vargr of course) :) There are also guidelines for creating Vargr words and a glossary of common words and phrases.

As the Aslan say "Ryahkahiyyeftu'alr ektoekherah iyhkyowaikhtaaoe is orlauaelai uastilakhaoirearl soikti uias eayuye hliykh hleaiykte hliy ou'ih."

"My Clan-Lord's air-raft is full of a reptiloid oceanic predator."?

Well, it does loose something in the translation...

But trust me, Aslan women LOVE to have that whispered in their ears ;-)

I generated those names back in my HIWG days as the Gvurrdon Sector Developer. I then used the name/word generator in the original vargr book from CT.

I'm liking this. I can see potential Cat and Dog havoc in the future....heh.....

Besides I plan to take GM fiat rites and apply different looks to different Vargr (as well as Aslan), since, as not all humans look the same, why should all Vargr, or all Aslan?

The Droyne, they can all look the same. :D
