Vancouver groups

Hey all -

General shout out here... I'm going to be moving from the UK soon and having to say goodbye to my gaming group of the past few years.

I'm going to be washing up in Vancouver and was wondering if anyone had any tips or recommendations about groups who might play legend games in the neighbourhood. Meet ups or gaming shops?

Ah, welcome to "lotusland"!!

The choice regarding shops is largely dependant on where you are located in the Lower Mainland. I typically find shops much more "table-top" and board-game focussed than RPG, but there are a few about.

Beyond that it is just a matter of checking notice-boards.

Sorry to be a bit vague... but it is very dependant on geographical location.

I suspect I'll start off in the downtown area - my company is based slightly to the easy but being central for a few months to get the lay of the land seems a good plan.

Any shops worth checking out?

The most useful shops are (sort of in order of RPG availability):

Drexoll Games in Kitsilano (on West 4th near Macdonald);
Strategies (on Main Street near 22nd);
and another one in the International Village/Tinseltown Mall (on East Pender Street) in Chinatown that I forget the name of.

There are others, but much further out.
