vampires question

There´s a scholar in my group that´s willing to cast the vampire transformation spell. If he make that transformation, will he be able to walk under the sunlight?

Is there a chance that other scholars recognize his true vampiric nature, just on sight?

This scholar already met all requirements for that spell.

Thank you!

it's really up to you. it's not included in the book but i think using some flaws may be a good idea, just come up with a decent list flaws and either pick one for him or allow him to pick one. things like vulnerability to sunlight, weakness to a certain herb or plant such as garlic or wolfsbane etc.

Is there a chance that other scholars recognize his true vampiric nature, just on sight?

if he has power points yes they will. otherwise no.

The Conan vamipre template has no vulneurablilty to sunlight. Which can sacre the dickens out of players when done right!

Check out the Rule of the Sorcorer's Soul. If the other scholar beats his will save they know (among other things) his type and subtype, meaning they will know he is an undead. With that information in hand it should be prety easy for them to deduce from circumstantial evidence that he is a undead vampire.

Hope that helps.

I would also think that the other players in the group should be watching their backs carefully and -always- sleeping with someone on guard. Having said that, its a good arc for running an 'evil' group (if you like); having to procure, or aid in the procurement, of enough sustenance for the vampire to avoid ending up on the menu. The 'angry villager' rule then springs to mind etc.
