Updated File Names: Secrets of the Ancients

The updated file name for the Secrets of the Ancients is : Secrets_of_the_Ancients_16-10-2024.pdf

So I want to give kudos for that... except, you know... it would sort better as Secrets_of_the_Ancients_2024-10-16

Sorry. I mean I'm really grateful that the date is clear and the update arrived so soon after Seth's video, but the pendant in me just can't let go. I'm like a pit bull with a pigs ear.

(That I'm using the Downloads folder as my main repository for files right now is just a symptom of the contradictions inherent in my few remaining neurons)

Oh, and the Regina map is still an aberration from the long established standard map of Regina.
And I won't even start a conversation on the pronunciation...

I could not care less about dates in the filenames, because I rename all the files anyway (and if I didn't have tab completion the dates would be seriously annoying). What we need is automatic notification when a file in our library has been updated.

So what has changed? Why was this update necessary?
The only change currently posted is the file naming convention. Suggests that this convention will be adopted in future updates.
It happens to be the same format I use to version control my own documents, like CVs and stuff. Sometimes I omit the DAY as irrelevant.

I agree completely - we do not have that functionality on the website at the moment, but let us look into it.
