Upcoming books

If Mongoose plans on publishing a book on Ducks, then I want it to include a full color picture of a Duck. That's the one thing that disappointed me about the books on Trolls, Dragonewts, and Elfs is that a nice full color picture of the creature (race?) was not included, except on the cover. There are some color pictures in the Monsters book, but still. I'd pay a few dollars more for all color books. The Second Age Glorantha Book is gorgeous. I just bought the Magic of Glorantha Book, and I am equally pleased.
Perhaps, Mongoose will ultimately publish both B&W paper-back versions of their books for those trying to save money, and color, hard-back books for those willing to spend a little more for nice gaming components.

They are full of bile and spite and don't really taste very nice at all.

You can live on them but they taste like duck.
I ate duck today. (with tomatoes and pepperoni). And you're absolutely right: it tastes like duck. But you forgot to say there is also lots of bones.

Don't forget that normal duck are small, can fly, don't talk, don't carry weapons, are very juicy and taste very nice indeed.

Intelligent/humanoid ducks are large, can't fly, can talk, carry weapons and are so full of spite, bile, inferiority and indignation that they are almost inedible. Trolls don't particularly like eating humanoid duck, but that doesn't stop them. Other species don't often eat humanoid duck, unless they have to or are fairly hungry or have some spare orange sauce.

RuneQuest Monsters III for January 09? I'm glad it is no Gloranthan book.

I hope the Fronela book also includes scenarios.

I wonder how one can write 96+ pages on ducks. 8)

Ducks can't talk? I thought they were always talking about money.

Having gone through an exhaustive list of duck/durulz write-ups, articles, encounters and the like I think there are already (close to) 96 pages of durulz-flavoured goodness out there.

t doesn't include anything yet, because its yet to be written. Not sure what it will contain - but I've asked for it to be moved to my 2 Do pile, so once its scheduled I can start thinking about content.

It is my opinion that the Duck race was created by Delecti sometime during or just before the Inhuman Occupation. This makes them a terror from the future for 2nd Agers. Of course Keets have existed for a long time, but Delecti didn't quite get it right with his version.

A good cop out if you don't like ducks in the 2nd Age and a tragic background for them that makes them less of a comedy race for the Third Age.

But they are already in "Glorantha - The Second Age", and this is 918 ST (or so).

I like the idea, but that has to be a rumour of the THIRD age only in my Glorantha.

A ship of Keets, searching for their lost home of Ganderland, stranded in Heortland, and from there moving into Dragon Pass sometimes in the early 2nd century (or late 1st Age) is MY approach on getting ducks to Genertela.

And so the duck ome begins to take shape...and woe be to the foes of the Durulz in the Second Age.

Exactly and I'll provide you all with a scoop: the Durulz were the mysterious and secret assassins hich eradicated all the God Learners. Moreover, they also destroyed the EWF Empire spreading the rumor that the dragons had attacked the humans.

But in fact it was a massive surprise attack organized by Durulz and Newtlings.

Are you free about the word count?

In any case, please include some scenarios because I think this is the prefered formula by Glorantha fans.

And non-Gloranthan Duck have already been covered in The Quester's Guide to Duck. And that _was_ fun to write.
I like the similarities of the cover with Osprey books (I don't know if it is on purpose or if it's a pure coincidence).
You should go further as to do other such books.
There's seven so far, and eighth and ninth on the production chain... covers various aspects of RQ.

The whole list can be seen here, at our website.
