Undercity Rules: Weapons?

The new rules for Gangs are super, but I have some questions about the new weapons found in Death In The Undercity. I am assuming that the Crossbow and Crude bow can't explode when a troggie/mutant misfires with them. It makes sence to me and I really can't see any other benefit besides availability. But what of the Hunting Rifle? I would guess that if IT misfires it would explode in the hands of an Undercity Ganger? Any help would be great. Thanx again for the renewed support of Gangs. :D
 
I must admit that I am not that familiar with the rules for GoMC-1, but that does seem to make sense. Any gunpowder weapon from the Undercity seems like it would have that risk. Besides, think of how much more exciting it would make every game.

Your ganger pulls the trigger and who gets hurt? Only the dice know for sure! :D

Yup, as suggested above having it simply break and become unusable makes more sense. I'll get that errata'ed in part two this month (part three will have the conversions for the new specialists, btw!)

Yup, treat it as any other weapon when used by an Undercity gang.

Im considering conversions too. Im thinking of converting Ratskins with undercity gangers.
Although the one with the pan 'helmet' would make a nice undercity guide.
