Typo Errors in PDF 2e Rulebook

Hi,
have both Hardcopy and PDF version of the rules.
Was surprised to find some typos in the PDF version not in the Hardcopy.
For example on Pg 6 in the PDF it says under moving ships........
"When nominated to move a ship must be moved forward in a straight line a distance its Speed score and half that amount"

In the hardcopy it correctly says......
"When nominated to move a ship must be moved forward in a a straight line a distance between its Speed score and half this amount"

I know this is only a missing "between"...but was interested how this could have got through.

Is the PDF version revised in some way...obviously they are different I guess. Would be interested if there is any info on what is and what is not changed between the two versions.

Way more than two versions. Mate of mine bought a rulebook at the open day, subsequent printings have changes.
Same with the Fleet Lists.

Its gotten so no-one (apart from Mongoose) knows what a current book says anymore.

IMHO a regularly updated errata would have been better than this situation.
 
Hi I now believe there are mulitple versions of the ACTA 2E Rulebook and Fleet books out there in both Hardcopy and PDF versions.
Do the guys at Mongoose keep a 'change record' for these two documents, it would be a really good idea if such a thing was made available online.

Ooh! Threaten to stop buying products until they get a FAQ out.

What are the chances? Nothing recent is on time, so why should this be?

Increasingly cynical about Mongoose's efforts. Lovely guys, just a bit, well, chocolate fire guard springs to mind.

I won't be buying anytime soon. I need convincing the problems are soughted our before I buy anything new from Mongoose.

Well aside from the rulebooks and most of the fleets, you're right :P

Distribution problems are a very different kettle of fish to publishing problems.
 
Yeah but whats the point of having rulebooks on time if a) they are bad production quality.. and need replacing and b) require immediate errata...guess thats distribution and publishing.

Makes me think far to much focussing on the stats of every bloomin' ships in that impossible quest of getting play balance in every fleet and somehow also trying to keep canon to a show that could not even keep consistant with itself. :)

Its such a shame...I just think the important things that really matter have been missed.

We're still waiting on the Armageddon ships... Neroon, Brivoki, etc... and dare I say, hiff's mothership!
 
Not when I last spoke to him (last week). The model was too heavy so it was sent back to the designers yet again.
 
Considering that the PDF seems to have errors in it that were already corrected for a hardcopy print, is there a way to get a fixed copy?
