Triplanetary: Mars

Any ideas on this setting? This is also a planet of humans, it is a much more low gravity setting than Venus. The theme of Mars is ancient decaying civilizations, a mostly desert planet, though we do have oceans in the northern Hemisphere, there are some canals that are fairly straight over long distances.

This is a flat projection of a canals Mars with northern Ocean:

Not quite as dry as John Carter's Mars. What sort of creatures do you think should populate this planet, Humans are one. The Martian Human is tall and thin with light skin coloration, the sky is a very pale blue on a clear day, which is most days on most parts of Mars, the greenhouse effect keeps the planet warmer than it otherwise would be, though it is still on average cooler than Earth.

This map is of course of the Lowellian Canals as drawn by Perceival Lowell. I;ll try to modify this map and submit it. make the canals look wetter and not just dark lines on the planet's surface. What do you think?

That's very impressive. Do you have software that does this, or did you find this map somewhere? Do you have one for Venus as well?

This is the Venus map, that I intend to use

Can you do a similar map of this one?

I use my own software to wrestle such maps for Traveller. Just to give players an idea. They are not GPS accurate in any way.
