It's interesting to see Foundry is ahead of Roll20 as I post. That I find surprising.

It's also interesting to see both are ahead of FG (at time of post), despite FG being the only platform getting any official support (as yet).

I would guess that Roll20 has a higher number of players who are less likely to read or post here.
There will be a greater crossover of FG and here.
The numbers are still very small in this survey

Roll20, since it is free and worked reasonably well for my MGT1 campaign. We will be switching to V2 soon and i am really looking forward to it.

Online gaming is just an emergency measure due to Covid-19 and we will instantly switch to in-person gaming as soon as it is possible and sensible to do that. Therefore i can live with relatively few features, since it is a stop-gap measure anyways.

I'm fairly new to Foundry VTT and, having taken the plunge, would like to play the current version of Traveller on there. At present there is a really excellent system for TwodSix SF roleplaying, using information based from Cepheus. It would be great to get official support for the VTT, alongside Fantasy Grounds.

I've also created a Traveller sheet for playing on the Role VTT.

Great to be getting back into some Traveller. How are you all finding play on VTTs? Which one do you use? (I'm expecting a lot of Fantasy Ground!).
What modules are you using that is gorgeous!!!

Still using Roll20. The character sheet has been greatly improved since I commented on it above.

P.S. I have to say, "Owlbear Rodeo" has to be the absolute best name for a VTT, ever! 😄

Hey folks, as I continue with Fantasy Grounds, we want to look into Roll20 - official support - the issue is the very comprehensive character sheet, can someone let me know who 'owns' that. I'd like a conversation please.

With Foundry, they are building a marketplace which will make things so much easier listing content and linking it to your account.

Lastly back to Fantasy Grounds - there's been a ton of work with the Smitework Devs which has meant a lot of changes, so we're working on stripping things back a bit, updating the theme to fit the new theme system, and re-working the character sheet. Oh, also the existing books conversion system was dropped, meaning a LOT of work re-pointing those tools to the new ways of working. Nearly done with that.

@Coryphon was making contributions to it and updating it as of a couple of months ago, and has a thread titled Roll20 Traveller 2E Character Sheet Updated on the forums here that I can't figure out how to link to without tripping spam rules. He's probably the person I'd poke first.

Awesome, I knew it was somewhere, message gone to Coryphon. Cheers!

I've tried building on Roll20, and it's just more than I want to learn for something I can scratch out on paper. FG was too cost-prohibitive by the time you purchase the Trav content (I even emailed trying to get them to swap D&D5e for Trav cause I have no desire to play 5e, but they acted like it wasn't possible because Trav doesn't have an SRD.) I want to try Foundry, but my experience with Roll20 has me leary of throwing away more money.

The screenshot looks lovely. Never used such a thing. It looks complex though. In terms of gameplay, what does it offer over people using Zoom that allows maps and so on to be shared?

If you want simple and cheap, I'd recommend you use the free version of owlbear.rodeo.
