Recent posts remind me of my first exposure to CT High Guard as a kid... first ship - a megaton with all the trimmings, of course. Spent a good week designing and sketching, even scaling a side profile up several feet on a mylar graph sheet. Then I began planning deck plans... uh. As I recall, my next ship was around 400 dtons.

- Ok, my gigaton super destroyer slices through the atmosphere, her level 12 pilot weaving between the barrage of missiles, capturing most of them with the port docking bay, whose internal damper disables their nukes so we can reuse them. The others, of course, splat harmlessly against my armour of invincibility along with any other shots.
Oh yeah, my extra 100,000 battledress wearing, dual synced to the dampers FGMP wielding, cybernetically augmented marines awake from low berth in case any of those missiles have other threats hidden in them, while my 200,001 repair drones stand ready to repair any collateral damage.
And just in case - my level 15 psionic captain is prepared to teleport the enemy ships, and their planet installations, into the heart of their sun...
