Hey guys, in case no one has said this already. D20 Entertainment is making a Traveller show pilot. But the important thing is that they're selling ship minis again :)
As Ad Astra stopped, this is good news. The Scout/Courier, Far Trader, and finally the Gazelle Escort are sold as a package for $50.
Along with selling 13-16cm long resin versions for $50-100.
Now if they'd only make the TNE Patrol Cruiser...

Yah, But it is Ken Whiteman, and well He doesn't have a good history with Traveller.... Meaning he still owes people in the community money, so why should we give him any more?

And all of his figures are most like going to be one offs. So what is the use?

"METAL MINIS: Beowulf + Gazelle + Scout
PRE-ORDER: You can get all three metal minis with bases. The Gazelle (1.5"), Beowulf (1.5"), and the Scout ship (1.25") we be created from CGI models used in the Spinward Traveller show, then hand casted into high detailed metal miniatures. We plan to do a limited run of 100 ships.
Available Qty: 96"

96 one offs? Anyways the point is to get your miniatures

In terms of miniatures production, Yes a one off run of 100 models, with no scale.

For the same price I price I can run down multiples of the combat ships from the old RAFM or Mega Minis ships.

I suppose if you are a collector they are fine if you ever get them. Just saying from a miniatures wargame point of view this is an effort to generate money not serve the fanbase.

You can? Where? I catch nothing while searching through eBay & Google shopping.

Well they used to be all over eBay, but that seems not to be the case any more. I would offer mine but I sold all them to a local gent who was playing extensively with his teenagers. But I have seen them at a lot of local flea markets. So perhaps at least on the miniature wargaming front I may have put my foot in my mouth, kinda. Ground Zero Games make a nice selection of Ship figures that one could proxy for Traveller ships so you aren't completely without hope.

1) I've been to GZG. Eh, not the same thing really.
2) Why get proxies when you can get the above licensed minis? Is it your beef with Whiteman? How did he screw over people?
3) If you can find a TNE patrol cruiser, do pass information along please.

Some of their merchant ships get close, but I did say proxy....

Mostly because no one except Rafm produce a broad range of the Classic Traveller ships. And the figures you pointed at are limited edition, so you end up proxying anything that isn't those 3 ships.

Yes during the run of T4 he was one of the faces of Imperium Games. He has the habit of being involved in lots of short run projects while promising way more than he can deliver.

Check, if I see one I'll let you know....
