Traveller Mainbook Erratta

This checklist is on page 5; it is actually called "Character Generation Checklist", and it is in a grey box. A couple of the instructions for generating your character have been corrected from the first printing; specifically step 8b, which has been mentioned in another thread as an error. If you need any more info, ask away!

So how does someone who bought the original edition Core Rulebook get the corrected version of the Character Generation Checklist? I looked in as many Errata threads as I had time to scan and cannot find it. I *will not* buy a new book just to get this, and the Player's Guide PDF download I have does not list it. :x

Hey, you hijacked my message!

The Traveller Character Pack includes the corrected Character Generation Checklist, and also includes a few charts with character sheet info for 10 bucks. Of course you could also take AndrewW's advice if you don't want to buy the Character Pack.

Try emailing msprange@mongoosepublishing.com

They are good about stuff like this and will work with you (possibly offering a trade in).

Error fixes (errata) should be free to download. It i just good business. Since the fix is already in new versions it shouldn't be a problem.

(oops, did it again! )
Hmmm, I might end up doing that, but since they corrected it in later editions, I think it should have been included in the errata....Being an old fart who works too hard for my money, I don't spend much of it on things like this, and having spent some of it to get a book with (admittedly not so many, but still) mistakes in it, I'm not crazy about spending more to get the corrected version.... <gripe, grumble>

It's worth picking up. For $10 you can rip it apart and photocopy it, or you can buy the PDF for $3 at DriveThruRPG. You can then print off whatever pages you need for your players or your own reference.

I'd recommend the $3 PDF, definitely.

I can't find the Character Record PDF on DriveThruRPG. Any tips?

You have mail! (Hope it is OK!) See if this is worth saving your money.
