I actually hope this might be a return to a LBB option for Traveller.

They did it a bit with 1st edition, but the font was a bit too small. If they can format it well, I’ll be getting them for all my players.

The Explorer's Edition is a 64 page starter/beginner's set - in a nutshell, it will allow you to create Scout (and possibly, depending on space, Scholar) Travellers in a Scout ship, and provide a blank subsector from which to explore!

You could rehash the Starter every two years or so, to attract a new generation of customers.

Yeah lots of books on the release list and no information on any of them. I don't really see the point in having a release list if nobody knows what they are other than Mongoose. They should at least have a sticky forum post where any newly planned book releases have a short description telling people what they are.
