Traveller concept album - The Lord Weird Slough Feg

Is it weird that I bought the Traveller rpg on the strength of a dodgy heavy metal Traveller concept album?

Have you guys heard "Traveller" by Slough Feg?

I hadn't listened to any metal since I was 14, but this album is actually really cool.

It's based on the story of a Vargr apparently. I highly recommend buying it for the novelty value at the very least. It's quite listenable though - sort of a melodic/traditional music inspired metal rather than the death-death-death variety.

Thats ok. I bought a dodgy heavy metal concept album on the strength of it being about Traveller.

And yeah, its fairly decent. I've heard worse.

It's my primary workout album.
My favorite is "Vargr Theme / Confrontation"

...Cronor! Mora! Firgr! Glisten!...

Yes, there are better albums out there that make me think of Traveller. However, if you just want something that mentions Traveller concepts - this not bad. Where the album excels like many Metal albums is in the artwork - when Vargr at the time were often protrayed as nice little doggies with ACRs - the concept art for this album brings the fear factor back in.
