T'Rakk Pricing

Reaverman

Mongoose
The T'Rakk is one wing, of a T'Loth ( or a T'Loth is two T'Rakks). A T'loth is £8.50, and so is a T'Rakk.

Why are they the same price?

Just get a T'Loth, hack the bridge part in half to make 2 T'Rakk bridges, and you've got 2 for the price of 1 :D

A t'loth comes with 2 of the small round bits for an upper and a lower bit, no idea if this is a t'loth bridge, anyway, 2 of them, 2 wings, bit o green stuff, you have 2 T'Rakks for the price of one...
I never try to figure mongoose's pricing, always seems a bit off.

look at it, what do you think? It may well have the wing slot removed, and of course it has that godaweful bridge, but otherwise..

if its a new model its probably about 5 times bigger than it needs to be, hence the price :)

I'm a little doubtful it is a different mould, why would a T'Rakk be a model 5 times larger. It would look stupid comapared to the T'Loth :P (or was that a knock at the mongoose scale of minis ;) )

It looks like they have added some kind of barrel, maybe its the bore side weapon or something.

Its Boresight weapon is just half of a T'Loth's Boresight weapon, and the barrels are there on the T'Loth as well. 2 to each wing.

On the model size, if the base is the same as the T'Loth one then the T'Rakk does look about the same size as a T'Loth wing...

It'll be because it is a new mold. All the original ships that came out had been done by AoG so there were no sculpting and prototyping costs. Which is why Mongoose sold them cheaper than AoG could.

Ok, put it like this. I have a choice, buy one T'Loth and make two T'Rakks out of the wings. Or buy one T'Rakk, for the same price. You are going to get a better deal, converting the existing T'Loth and you get 2 for 1 deal

And you can always use the middle part of the T´Loth as a freighter or something like that.

Have a closer look, I mean the tube right in front of the bridge (in the niddle of the wing) Thats definitly added and not a part of the original model I think.

Well its Boresight is still exactly half that of a T'Loth...

Plus I'm not sure thats a barrel, it appears to be where the T'Loth wing would notmally attach to the central hull, looks a bit like its something added to cover up the hole...
