Just to let you all know, due to some clashes, we are moving the date of the Klingons on the Starboard Bow tournament to March 17th.

If you have already booked your ticket and this causes problems, please give let us know.

We are also organising tournaments at various shows across the UK later in the year (and there will be another at our HQ), starting with Games Expo in Birmingham. More details on those soon.

Probably no bad thing for me - gives me (and probably a few others) a chance to get the ships.

glad I held of booking.

Not a problem for me - I might change my fleet! :D

However, you are aware it is Saint Patricks Day!

Any idea which shows? - any in Scotland?

Think I already know the answer though....

What does it clash with if you don't mind me asking Matt?

We have a _load_ of conventions/events this year. At first glance, we will be attending more events this year than the past three years combined.

Unlikely - Vapnartak and York is about as far North as it is practical to go.

However, if we had some volunteers to be roving Mongooses in Scotland, we would happily support them :)

Any chance Tholians and/ or Orions will be out by then.

Though I like the ship stats of the Kzin, the models themselves don't catch my eye.

Some games / scifi conventions round Glasgow and Edinburgh - and there is SKELP 2012 in October (Forfar = bridie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridie)

Some local model shows e.g. Modelfair 2012 (Elgin) 3rd/4th November do have "demonstration games" (I know that there are similar shows in Perth, Dundee,Stirling, Ayr and Aberdeen)

However with some of the clubs running the demos mention any company other than the evil empire (GW) or Privateer - you get strange looks.

Best option may be running demos at some of the "good" games shops / clubs in the central belt - a bit too far South for me....

Can we get a quick list of those so we can plan ahead and attend if able

Hmm, makes me less likely to make it as a spectator, but hopeully I'll be there.

LBH

No chance of you making it and playing?

Highly unlikely, I recently was told I need to go in for shoulder surgery at some point in the next couple of months (on a waiting list) , so even if I can make it, no using my shoulder if I can help it, so my gaming career will take a hiatus, and here was me going for the college scholarship too ;)

Bugger, working that day and all my holidays are booked up until End March :(.

Will have to make the next one. Though will be making Games Expo
