infact can mongoose get a sculpt of her done...

Yeah, Evil. Kinda gives a whole new meaning to "Women of the Mobile Infantry" . I don't know, though. I think Dizzy would ground her with maybe one good punch 8) . Huh? This was about guns? Oh. Hmm.
Maybe Mongoose will just read all of these opinions (CGI guns vs. movie guns), throw their hands up, take the guns away, and offer the "lights" as metal two-part castings. When someone asks Mongoose "Where are the instructions, and how do you put them together?", they'll say "They are already assembled. They're supposed to lay flat, in two pieces. Position the top halves near the bottom halves on the table, and use lots of red paint". There's your light MI, guys. MUAhahaha...

I'm just happy they have guns at all...

I think the current guns work for the MI, but after seeing Serenity today I have decided to base my LAMI on the alliance troopers from the movie, and I would really like some more realistic sci fi (or even modern looking) guns to complete the effect. MIght just have to buy some online, byram, you had a good site for 28mm (ie scale not lengh) guns right?

Yeah, I was just slipping a bit of my twisted humor in there. The point is made that if the light MI pack is to be offered, it should be accurate to the source material that it is based upon. I agree. Most of the game miniatures are sourced to the CG series. Those that are not, are drawn from the movie. I'm fine with all of that. With the additional CG series models (and rules for them), the game has a much richer depth because of it. The inclusion of the "light" forces is because they are in the movie, and not in the CG series (two different visions of the book, even if they are by the same director). I think that if Mongoose has to commission new metal masters, they should be "true" to the movie release, moritas and all. This would make them more desirable to collectors, even if they weren't being used as gaming pieces. If Mongoose goes ahead and grants the request, they had better get ready for the "Movie Warrior Bug accurizer kit" that features a single-spiked lower mandible...

Naw, the bugs dont matter as much, unless you are an obsessive (and they you could convert them anyway) the bugs look like bugs, and do the job fine. The guns are what really matter, if you look at the current LAMI pics and then at the guys from the movie, the gun really stands out and makes them look different.

I would keep the old cgi morita because the cap trooper design is From the cgi.
Other wise we would have those sst movie troopers and there guns for the base troopers.

Like I stated in a previous post a lot of what mongoose is producing as models from the cgi. Its popularity is what made the want for a tabletop game. Hence, why it was syndicated and the movie was not. And last I like the cgi stuff better anyways, the stuff just looks better and there is more leeway for moddying.

Now for people like you kirkmex, mongoose should make another weapons sprue of the movie stuff. Just so you can arm your models with movie stuff. And the book stats remain the same it was just a different issue.

As for silvia saint. she was most likely paid to hold the gun. Like all she other guns she sports in action girls.

I COME TO YOU WITH THIS PLEA.......

Before you commision the work for the new METAL Light MI models consider making them "TRUE TO MOVIE" miniatures.

Use the movie version. The whole point of the Klendathu expansion is to port the movie to the tabletop miniatures game. Just say they're lighter rifles. Maybe give them extra range but lower strength. Fits in with the light infantry role.

the problem is, these rifles from the movie are actually larger! knowing the LAMI, a longer range would not make sense with their lack of training, instead shorter range and more damage (IE their tendency to saturate an area with bullets, perhaps a higher chance of running out of ammo) would be more realistic/

@byram, could I get a link to that gun site?
