I just finished the King of the swords, the fourth line (Corum) that I read by Moorcock. elric being the second.
So in the elric book I got there is a story called the sailior on the seas of fate (or something like that) and the four champions; Elric, Hawkmoon, Erekose, and Corum, merge into the Four-who-are-one. What results, to the best of my knowledge, is a multi limbed and faced horror.
Then in the End of the Corum book he comes across the lost god kwll.
Is it my imagination, or is there some resemblance physcially (this is all I am implying) to Kyll and the form of the four champions melded into one?
If we are to go into further analogy, does there seem to be a hint that maybe the champion is something more, perhaps the god of the balance? I mean, since we have the pyhsical similiarity, and the casual statement by Kwll that he and his brother rynn killed all the gods on Corums plane (maybe even beyond) and that they only follow one law imply this? Or is perhaps there no real link aside from the crossed path of the Champion Corum and Kwll, everything else being a cooincidence? Or is this not a paradox which is common in events like this in the million spheres?
And one final note, why leave Hawkmoon out? I'm sure there were reasons, but knowing them is nice too!
Any challenges, explanaions or other comments to my above statements?
