Things I Hope to See in Traveller in 2025 and Beyond

Something I would love is a proper combination of Pocket Empires, colonisation and terraforming rules to cater for players and GMs who have caught the PoD kingdom-building bug. Obviously, you can abstract it a bit and I, like others, have my spreadsheets. But it feels like something there’s a market for.

Maybe @Geir can whip something up. He’s been making noises along those lines.

I’ve found the mute button super-helpful at cutting down the number of moustache guy responses and quote posts containing only a pointless YouTube video. It also helps hide those two weird “why don’t you just get a blog?” threads that clutter the first page.

An idea since Mongoose now owns everything and I love the Mongoose Sectorbooks.

Put out the 1105 Sectorbooks just how they are doing it.

After the Sectorbook is released, do a small accessory to the Sectorbook for each Mileu. Don't copy and paste. That is a waste of paper. Just detail the changes in the sector from 1105 in the main sectorbook, to whatever milieu is detailed in the accessory, such as any changes to the UWPs or other data, plus any major events and fluff. Double sectorbooks run an average of 140 pages per sector. So, make the accessories around 50 pages.

They could even do this with settings prior to 1105, such as the Cultural Purge, Interstellar Wars, Solomani Rim War, etc...

This would require good quality control though to make sure the books are not contradicting one another.

More cool stuff for us and more money for Mongoose!

Also, fix the really bad UWP mismatches with updated cannon, like TechWorld and the TL17 robot world I can't remember the name of at the moment with a population of 0 with billions of sentient robots.

I'd also like to see a return to cannon for the FFW instead of the awful book we got for the armies.
