THERE IS ON EXPLAINATION !!!!!!!

The new artillery rules no longer represent on board weapons that are simply launched. They're usually used to represent off board assets like mortars, actual artillery, and other strikes. These weapons are fired from a long distance and arc down on targets leading to a good deal of deviation.

Ah, good. That would make much more sense.

Though I see the MI making much more use of, say, those lovely mini-cruise missiles available through their good friends Fleet than conventional self-propelled artillery.

Things like rocket and grenade launchers are already covered by the new fire zone shooting rules, those small weapons can no longer be launched via artillery rules.

Aha?

So no indirect fire for say marauders anymore?

Ouch.

No, indirect fire still exists - what would a Plasma Bug do otherwise? :)

Ah good good.

Still bit of confused. If the artirelly rules mentioned deals with offboard artirelly then how is inaccuracy of onboard indirect fire done...I sure hope they won't be simply "no need for LOS" and can shoot without accuracy penalty...That would be tad too brutal.

But thanks for the answer.

(oh and what would plasma bug do otherwise? Bust my marauders as usual! I swear my marauders armour is made of plasma magnet!)
