The year is 1105, the Golden Age of the Third Imperium. Commerce flows between worlds, there is peace on all fronts and the realm looks to expand at its burgeoning frontier. However, despite appearances, all is not well. The vast interstellar territory has become unmanageable. Separatists sow unrest from within, and external enemies surround it on all sides. Conspiracies are brewing that will bring the entire empire to its knees.

Imagine the opportunity to change it all falls right into your lap. The Travellers are given the means to alter the course of history and redirect the momentum of a thousand-year empire. Technology is at the core of this campaign, and the next great age of advancement lies before the Travellers.

Shipping is free worldwide, and we do not envision being hit by tariffs. 600 pages of epic adventuring throughout Charted Space awaits!

Ok, I have skimmed the preview...

I like it.

I like it a lot.

Question, do any of the current core adventures hint at this campaign?

There's some common ground. A narrative element from Core Adventure 3 is directly mentioned. The Core adventures could definitely be intertwined into a Singularity campaign.

I looked but might have missed it. When is the expected delivery date? And will it be like the JTAS kickstarters and we get the early preview pdfs?

Edit: Answered on Kickstarter:

You will indeed get the PDFs as soon as they are ready, We are saying delivery will be in January next year... but we are aiming for a 2025 delivery :)

Is there no way to get the companion if you are the sort of person who lives in a tiny hut on a semi tropical island and relies on digital storage for their vast hoard of RPG books?

"In the third act, the Travellers have acquired the tools to alter the fate of the Imperium and potentially all Charted Space."

I hope I'm wrong but starting to worry Singularity is heading the same way as Hard Times, The Rebellion, and Virus. Bad ideas that “reshaped the setting” by breaking it.

We’ve seen this pattern before. The Imperium isn’t something to burn down for drama. It works because it endures. Traveller is strongest when players change their part of the galaxy, not the whole thing. We don’t need another collapsing Imperium.

Am I correct in believing that there is no way to pledge for "everything" in digital-only format? I'd love to pledge for a complete digital copy because I don't want the environmental impact of physical books that I'll never open.

I think it may offer a solution to making sure some of that never happens in this OTU...

At this stage it is difficult to speculate too much, but there are certain things mentioned that make me think that, if I so choose, the players may be able to stop the rebellion from ever happening, they can certainly prevent Virus...

as to burning down the Imperium for drama, that was the original plan all along.

There are more pressing concerns - how does Singularity impact the FFW, how to the super PCs at the end of the Ancients trilogy interact with the events of Singularity...

I'm thinking this as well.

Or could they be dragged into it and change things even more? That's what I'm thinking.
