The Serpent campaign kickstarter live

Has this campaign been advertised on CotI, rpgnet etc?

Everyone is always crying out for high quality adventures and this does look pretty good to me.

Thanks
:)

There was an announcement on RPG.net. But Citizens of the Imperium didn't look like it wanted promotional posts and I didn't want to be a jerk. Maybe I've been too cautious / not wanting to spam groups.

Not completely two for one ;-)

The Kickstarter is very much Traveller Compatible, under license from Mongoose.

Now, I will publish conversion notes to make it easy for Coriolis GMs to adapt it (Caph system, here we come...), but the main book itself is Traveller. (If anyone wants to convert it to SWN or somesuch then I'm afraifd that they're on their own - it would be possible, but I don't know the system well enough to help with that.)

So maybe 1.5 for 1? ;-)

Thank you for your support, though - it's great that the campaign had such a great initial response, and we're really looking forward to getting it into layout :-)

I had a thought; perhaps included a list of Persian and Arabic names, both personal and family, for those who aren't familiar with the cultures?

Sad to have missed this, but glad to see late pledges available. Strong Coriolis vibes with this (even the layout examples) and that's not a bad thing. However, try as I might, I couldn't find the info about where the books are printed and sent from. I can't post on the KS page without pledging, so I'll try here as the author has been on this thread. Do you have "EU friendly" shipping for the book (i.e. is it sent from within the EU)? I'll either get the physical or digital version of this, depending on the answer (because the customs taxes are no joke, I tell ya).

It's fulfilled by DriveThruRPG - who I believe will print in the UK or US. So there is a risk of customs fees being applied when the books enter the EU, yes :-(

Congratulations on a successful campaign...

will there be more in the future?
That is the plan!

This was my second Kickstarter, and it was much smoother than the first (simple shipping paid at point of pledge, not too many weird different parts to track), so I'm getting the hang of this ;-) BUT I do still fear that I'm doing stuff that doesn't have a strong hook - I mean "based on Persian literature" is kind of a promise of something rich and unusual, but is anyone looking for this? On the other hand, Kickstarters that are just "100 traps for DnD" or "20 new subclasses for DnD" seem to do much better - but I just can't get excited about writing that stuff!

So I think I need to find a way to do books which have the rich, unusual, memorable elements, but are not so hard to get a grip on!
