as well as novels and boardgames based on Armageddon 2089 (a miniatures game for the latter is possible as well, though serious work is unlikely to commence until late 2011 at best – we have enough fish to fry in the short term!)

I have read 2 of the novels and they are both awesome. I do hope this comes to fruition.

If you need playtesters for it MAtthew, you have a resident A:2089 expert right here.

As only one of the novels is available to me have only read that one - and it was really great - looking forward to more........

have ordered the background book to start reading up on the world :)

Got it now - its not bad - although disapointed it does not reference the novels events/characters -but not sure which came first.........

I think the sourcebook came first, I also think however that the novel is set in the years before 2089, so it is set first. There are dates throughout the novel which will confirm/deny this IIRC.

If there's any plan to revisit A2089, then I need to remind all and sundry...

At Gencon 2004 Matt asked me to develop a miniatures rule set and background books, and I worked on that for a long time. Then a Mongoose editor (not sure who) told me it needed to be done and in, so I spent 2 months finishing it up. Then the project went cold.

I do hope nobody is going to forget that I've done a LOT of work on this one (as well as the novels), and that work was commissioned by Mongoose, not just for fun.

If there's going to be a new version, then somebody needs to be talking to be about the work that's already been done.

BTW... the novels were written after the sourcebook and slipped into the gaps.

I have written a new sourcebook (Mongoose commissioned it before the project was shelved) that does reference the novel storyline.

Oooh, want want want!!!!!

I'd happily proofread that sourcebook for you DA. 8)

Otherwise I'm just waiting for A:2089 to start making a comeback in S&P so I can fire through all the stuff I've done for my games over the years.

Nothing to see here really, just me stating continued interest in doing A2089; the novels, the game books or whatever. Still got all the files here...

Right, I can get the IP address from the post, now all I need is to remote hack in, clone the hard drive and I shall have A:2089 goodness........

You'll be lucky. The files are on my writing computer, which is physically isolated and has no modem or router. How's that for virus protection?

***Slips lastbesthope a USB drive.

Now he just has to get it to the computer and copy away.

What is A:2089?

An old 3rd Ed d20 based Mongoose RPG

http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=45&products_id=3745&it=1

Had a core book, 5 supplements and a campaign scenario book, and spawned one published novel with others waiting in the wings.

Hmm, with that amount of mess on the office floor, not touching it is not a chalenge. Falling off a pile of papers and being buried might be an issue though....

So long as they're A:2089 related papers, I can live with that :)
