The next Mongoose NA tourney

So,

Those that were at A Noble Duel know Matt mentioned having another bigger tournament in about 3 months.

So what would we like it to be? Maybe we can give MAtt some ideas, or come up with our own for our own local tourneys.

I reckon around the 1000 mark we'll start seeing cruisers in almost every fleet, and we may start seeing carriers.

At 1250 we might start seeing dreadnoughts.

Do we want to go with the 1250 must take a dreadnought tournament idea? Would we just be humouring Kat or do people think it would be fun?

Kind of rules out the Li-Halan and Al-Malik fleets if you do that though, they lack dreadnoughts.

cant see many cruisers at 1000pts, they are just too much. it would be like taking a battle level ship at 5pt raid, some will some wont and if you went to 1250pts then i doubt you would see dreadnoughts apart from Kat probably having 2.

But seriously yea, I reckon the 1k mark is where Cruisers will START to appear in balanced fleets as a flagship, though I think at that level mass destroyer and frigate squadrons will be the order of the day, wolf pack style

I would too, if I had 5 Griffins, only got 4, need to look to that at some point, once I get my second fleet box worth painted.

@Ben2, we all managed to find hotwels or something for the ACTA campaign weekend.

I really do have things the wrong way round - I've only got 3 Griffins, but I have 6 explorers!! However, just to balance things out, I do believe I may have 12 Mantis!

Interesting amounts, you been buying blisters or fleet boxes.

Including everything I have bought I have in total:

1 fleet box each of Hazat, Decados, Li-Halan and Al-Malik

And a MASSIVE Hawkwood collection:

20 Kestrel Torpedo Bombers
4 Wayfarer Explorers
8 Hornet Frigates
4 Darius Galliots
3 Malcolm Light Carriers
4 Griffin Destroyers
2 Vladimir Cruisers
1 MAestekulos Dreadnought
And an Osprey on preorder

Definitely need more Griffins but I think it'll be blister purchases from here on out, don't want any more carriers or Galliots, maybe some Frigates and Explorers, but nlisters of them too I think.

well i have 2 fleets I am working on, decados and hawkwood.

for both have a fleet box, 2 cruisers, dreadnought and 3 extra destroyers. need one more blister of frigates for each. then need to swap bombers for fighters on the carriers or buy more fighters.

Actually, I bought several of the plastic fleet boxes when they were available a few years ago, but never did much with them. So, now I've got oodles of Frigates, Galliots and explorer/raiders and I'm slowly building up with blister packs, as funds allow!

With the Osprey on Preorder, I have 5180 points

1580 in carriers and fighters
1400 in Cruisers and Dreadnoughts
2200 in Explorers, Frigates, Galliots and Destroyers

I'm not a fan of Galliots I think I need a few destroyers, maybe some Scouts and some Frigastes after that.

I need to remember just because I want 6 Scouts in a campaign fleet doesn't mean I need 6 Scouts, I'm unlikely to play them all at once.
