The Game Trader Magazine

Its come to my attention that Mongoose will publish photos and new releases in "The Game Trader" magazine but never have that same info on their
website.

For example the latest issue has the new Warrior Bugs, Tanker, Skinnie and Forth models (stating they are due out in Aug) WIT prices.

I have to ask (and I am not the first) why not something similar on the Forum or the main Website?

Are these pcitures up online or not? I fully understand why they want to publicise the game as much as possible, but I doubt they will have signed an exclusive deal with The Game Trader, so they should be sharing them here on the forum as well!!

I heard a 'rumble' about it from a friend yesterday, then "low and behold" it got mentioned on the Yahoo group today.

I thought if I posted on here, someone might know something kwim?

The people on this (and the Yahoo) Forum, are truly dedicated and fanatical.

How about a little more support than we are getting, more information and insight, even SLIGHTLY more of a clue.

It would be nice (and fair).

What would you (or anyone) spend their hard earned Cash on, a Magazine with previews OR more miniatures for your Hobby!

Well to buy the magazine, because you want the magazine. However having to buy a magazine just to get an advert in it seems rather BIZZARE after all the whole idea of doing previews is to stoke customer intrest in the game and get them saving pennies in eager anticipation.... Its not to sell exclusive rights to see the preview....

Well to buy the magazine, because you want the magazine. Heres a quick thought though.
Most specialist stores tend to get this sort of magazine in for their own use I believe (At least comic shops get in Previews, and from what I remember the games shop in Oxford had a rpg/wargaming/toy one), maybe people could try asking to look at it at their FLGS?
The shop owner should be all to happy to help drum up some interest in an upcoming product, at least they are when I try and geek out lol.

Not an ideal solution, but it does remove the moral conundrum of having to pay for a preview we should have seen for free. And more to the point, most stores aren't adverse to giving away older issues of the magazine, once they've gotten their use out of it, then someone could scan it in
