Nick (whose private project this is) is very, very busy at the moment. He is working as hard as he can to bring this book to print - you just need to give him a little time!

Very good news indeed. Just hope there isn't too much delay to cancel the job (I remember the failure of the campaign Conan and the shadow of the sorcerer).

Since this is a private project the only thing that will stop this coming out is if I keel over and kick the bucket. The book is written BUT in a moment of gloriously badly timed ill-luck all my additional work was lost when my PC died spectacularly. I still have the notes and the original written documents but one very dead old PC (and a new one that so far has decided not to work properly) has left me with a lot to do all over again.

After Easter I will be spending frequent weekends in the Mongoose Office laying out and editing this baby. There is a lot of work to do (as it was originally designed for D20 Slaine) but as this will be the second time I go through it. And I will be storing the info on the Mongoose PCs as I go...

Now back to Scolls of Skelos...

Well I know I it will be well worth the wait when this book finally comes out. Just seems like forever since we got some more Slaine RuneQuest goodness.

Well there is a nice little Slaine article in this month's S&P that John Foody (the writer behind the BO Chronicles) wrote, so I hope you all enjoy that.

I am currently on a week off (the first hols I have had this year) and the thing I am doing - getting the BO Chronicles into shape. I have so far gone over four chapters and am working on the introduction as well.

So far I have done the regional descriptions, rumours, the people of the village and 'What the Characters Know' chapters. the adventures I will start to work on tomorrow - some of them are pretty nifty.

I am also backing up all my work with the determination of a demented drune to ensure I will not have to do this all again...

Come on Mongoose folks, whats happening with this one? It is seriously in danger of overtaking Secrets of Tragic Europe as the book that's continually delayed the most.

Please tell me that we are not looking at another "Shadow of the Sorceror" debacle. :roll:

No, I think this one is for sure. Nick and Matt confirmed this would be done. I expect it for Q4.

I wish that I was as confident as you about that King. As this release seems to be a labour of love, and given the current financial climate in the UK, I think that there is a much higher possibility than normal of it being shelved in favour of supplements for other lines.

It has been written.

It is 'my' project. I do not get paid for it, as it is in my own time. As it costs £0 for Mongoose up front it will get printed.

I have had a near total lack of spare time to work on it in the last couple of months due to various things out of my control.

I am looking to have a decent sized chunk done by Gencon UK with the hope I will run one of the scenarios from it there.

I am very glad to hear that Mongoose Acolyte. I have been looking forward to this for a long time now. I get to play this you see(whereas I GM for Elric,Hawkmoon and Conan) and Slaine is my favourite. I had a really good time playing the Horned Lord and Moon Sow campaign and look forward to more celtic shennanigans.
It just seems strange to me that its always the supplements that I am waiting for with bated breath that are inevitably delayed. Patience is not one of my strongest virtues. :roll:
