Terrain idea - anyone tried it before?

Well, I bought GOMC1 a couple of weeks back, and I like the game!
I guess I'm late on the scene support-wise, but I've ordered a bunch of minis anyway (waiting on most of them to arrive). Now I'm thinking about terrain.
Has anyone thought of using and old PC tower case as a block before? Open drive bays as hover ports? I am, and I wanted to see if anyone had tried it and knew any pitfalls I haven't thought of yet.

That is a good idea!

It's so hard to reflect an entire block, that the most I've considered is having the lower floors cut across one gaminf edge..

I was measuring out the scale for a block once, for a project I was working on with Dredd fighting Batman. The base of it would take up about a 6X4 table and the height would be prohibitive to make it the proper height.

However, I did use a PC tower I found to make my gang's hideout. Here are some photos:

Here is the front. I used cardboard as sheets of tin to cover the open drive bays.

The old floppy bay was made into the bathroom.

The bottom floor offers parking, a cell for hostages and, whil eyou can't see it here, a weapons rack, soda machine and a DDR machine.

Both of those are pretty cool... the Doom 3 Project is quite amazing however. I never thought at looking at the case modding community for extra ideas!
