[Terra/Sol Games] Six Guns Gauss Weapons by Martin Dougherty

As noted above by others, I'd also love to see Lasers and Slug Throwers covered in this level of detail. Additionally I wouldn't mind seeing Armour, Battle Dress and Medical Equipment covered too.

Slugthrowers... that's not a big subject or anything.

Fortunately I do have an almost infinite amount of subject matter.

I was expecting to cover lasers next, after that... not sure yet.

I think slugthrowers should be focused down to just the last few TLs before gauss weapons appear. That way you aren't simply rehashing futuristic Glocks and Colts.

I agree with Apoc on this one. Start at TL8 for Slug Throwers. No need to rehash what we have now and all the black powder stuff. If you really want to do that, then it should be in its own book.

Stun Weapons would be another area I would like to see explored in detail. Especially, high tech stunners designed at TL12+.

Future cops need SOMETHING to use against people (and robots).

I just wanted to add my agreement with both Apoc527 and Rikki in regards Slug Throwers. A narrow focus on the later TL Slug Throwers would be best.

In general, "chemical slug throwers" is too big a topic.

It might be nice to have a better rundown of the more advanced (TL 8+) firearms and what they can do that modern firearms can't. But most of the "slug" weapons are pretty familiar in design, so probably don't need a lot of expansion beyond what the CSC gives us.

A discussion of fancy high-tech "upgrades" like smart weapons and ultra-sophisticated targetting gear might be more interesting.

And of course the laser guns, but those are already on the list. (yay!)

As if you don't already have enough ideas of your own :), I'll throw in a few more:

A Combat Armor or Battle Dress book would be nice from a "gun pr0n" perspective. Battle Dress can be a big topic though.

Space Suits could also be an interesting addition to the line. Come to think of it, I'd be more interested in this one than the armor ones, simply because I don't generally run mercenary games.

Terra/Sol are ahead of you and anticipating your requests. Extended and expanded stunner rules available now. Mike can you let the fellow know how to get them.

We actually have two products currently on the market authored by MJD. The Starfarer's Gazette #1 (more issues to come, we currently have two in the can) continues the adventures of the RSS Avenger but now it's in the Twilight Sector . It details a whole bunch of new stuff. John Lees and myself also contributed material to this issue, with John contributing a great article detailing 6 differnt stun weapons and some very nice optional rules for dealing with stun damage. This product is available both as a PDF and a dead tree version.

Apologies for the dumb question, my brain is misfiring today, if SG #1 continues the adventures of the RSS Avenger, where did they start? In the main setting book?

We did something similar in an OTU publication called SITREP, and before that in other Avenger materials.

SITREP was curtailed for the same reasons I stopped working on the other OTU materials, and RSS Avenger resurfaced in non-OTU space.

The RSS Avenger suffered one hell of a misjump...
