Tell me what you want.

Forgot to mention robots.
The first edition book was generally well done, but the design rules, seemed a bit off to me.

Other than aliens, which will be in another book, what I'd most like to see are:

  • New and variant psionics rules.
  • A couple of new adventure class ships - specifically high tech (TL 13-15) adventure class ships, since mostly such starships are TL 11-12, and I'd like to see what notably higher TL versions were like.

Well if given free run I would go for info/adventures in the Glimmerdrift/Crusis/Hinterworlds sectors, as that's where we had been plodding about for a few years in our group.

Def' more info on the Psi' stuff. I liked the old psionics book for the added skills and pitfalls of the use of psionics. Gave us some great adventures as we watched some players become more and more unhinged

Adventure packs like Tarsus are worth their weight (metric or Imprerial) in local precious metal of choice.

I don't feel we need anything to do with more guns/armour etc. Plenty of that out there. Maybe frame works for corperations as bad guys and patrons. Still chewing it over, so much wanted, so few pages.

One thing that would be good to see in official print would be a set of guidelines for "troupe style" adventuring. That is probably the best way to make larger ships like the Leviathan or Azhanti High Lightning manageable settings for adventurers. Troupe style is also great for mercenary adventures.

Indeed.

And as previously mentioned, that Magic Eight Ball.

We certainly use Troupe play in our games, and it is totally suited to Traveller campaigns.

How sensors work, how you use the to counter opponents sweeps and how the can affect transponders being recognised. Hell, just some firm transponder info would be great as it seems you can change them (maybe) but it difficult, but you can turn them off but it looks suspicious?!?
Yes, more info about sensors (personal/vehicle/starships) and typical tasks when using sensors (or avoiding them), how they can be used for information gathering, detection and counter measurements.

Something more about wafer jacks, Neural Comms, and Neural Links. Implant stuff seems to be very under-represented given the obvious utility, and its well accepted presence as indicated by Agent of the Imperium.

Agreed.

MindJammer Traveller has a lot of good cyber stuff in it, but it is very specific to that setting in most cases. A generalized Cyberpunk or Transhuman book would be great.

I’d really like to see something about how the Imperium is structured from the Emperor down and how their laws and stuff are put into operation. Similarly a list of Aslan clans would be great. Another idea would be a list of alien names for the various races that a GM could use to name npcs on the fly. One of the DnD books did it recently and I thought it was very useful and Naning Aslan is a nightmare!!
Does anyone have stats for the Emperor? We know the personalities of the Forgotten Realms a lot more than we do those of the Third Imperium. Maybe someone ought to do a write up of this character. It would he also nice to get some stats on his advisors, and maybe some family relations as well.

According to Arrival Vengeance (with a few tweaks to make him MgT2-compliant):

Emperor Strephon 6578CF Age 77 (in 1126) Noble-14.5 terms
Admin-5, Leader-3, Pilot (Small Craft)-2, Art (unspecified)-2, Persuade-1, Language (unspecified)-1, Science (History)-1, Seafarer (Personal)-1, Science (Robotics)-1, Science (Genetics)-1, Electronics (Remote Ops)-1

You could probably interpolate what his characteristics and skills might have been 21 years earlier in 1105 and update him for Traveller's (somewhat) more modern sensibilities.

Modular encounter tables based on the UWP, including factions and culture notes. Using something like the old animal generation system to make some unique places.

An updated Pocket Empires would be fun as well.

It's a Traveller companion rather than a Third Imperium companion, yes?

More alternative technologies and TL paradigms.

If I want more cyberpunk twidle this dial

if I want more space fantasy twidle this dial

if I want time travel, mirror universes etc

if I want transhumanism, diamond hard scifi, near future technothriller noir whatever here is how th Mongoose traveller rules set can be easily hacked to run this type of setting.

What I do not want is anything that conflicts with T5 or Agent of the Imperium claiming to be how things work in the Third Imperium.
If you are looking for an alternate setting, check out my thread labled "Reciprical Warp Drive", I shoehorned a setting to go with it, I changed a few things having to do with technology, but the political setting is based on the works of a science fiction writer Piers Anthony, and his setting "Bio of a Space Tyrant". Where Piers Anthony left off, I'm picking up, well sort of. Basically every part of the Solar System is analogous to a part of the Earth today, and I've updated things to the 21st century, um I mean the 31st century that is. For one thousand years humankind has been settling the Solar System, during the second half of the last century, a Cold War has been going on between the Saturnian Union and the United States of Jupiter, in the midst of all that, in the late 2980s to early 2990s a Tyrant rose to power in the United States of Jupiter, he made a number of reforms to the country and then was deposed and democracy was restored, one of the things he did during his rule was to unify the planet politically, The US of J picked up a number of new states in the Southern Hemisphere of the planet. After the Tyrant was deposed he worked on a project between the Saturnian Union and the US of J to develop a warp drive, this was launched in the year 3000, in that decade of the 2990s the Socialist government of Saturn was overthrown during a military coup, a leader named Boris took over as President of the new Saturnian Federal Republic, he retired in the year 3000 and a new President Vladimir took over the reigns of power, during the first two decades of the 31st century a new Cold War developed, and with the warp drive, a new competition emerged to settle the stars.

I want a Hiver and K'Kree book and some more stuff on the Gateway Domain. I really liked your GtD book :)

I'd like the Hiver and K'Kree books because there isn't much in the way of canon on the worlds in those areas.
