Travellers' Aid Society

Hi All,
I'm looking for any and all information about the Travellers' Aid Society.
I've looked at the Traveller Wiki and the sources listed on the Travellers’ Aid Society page: https://wiki.travellerrpg.com/Travellers'_Aid_Society.

Additionally, I've looked for information from the various GURPS Traveller books, available from Far Future Enterprises on CDROM. https://www.farfuture.net/. In particular: GURPS Travelller Classic Starports

There are also 2 TAS resources I found on DriveThruRPG:

Travellers’ Aid Facilities, by Robert DeVoe: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/457627/traveller-s-aid-facilities

Travellers Aid Society – Member’s Only, by Perry Charles Horner:

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/453543/travellers-aid-society-members-only

And also some good information from Greg Alen Caires on Freelance Traveller and his Travellers’ Aide career: https://www.freelancetraveller.com/features/rules/chargen/tas.html

But, in all of this, there's almost nothing about the organization's structure or it's history. I have a good idea about what the benefits for being a member are and the GURPS material covered other functions and areas they use to earn money, but nothing about important figures, except the mention of the founder from the wiki, or what to expect when you're interacting with the organization.

So I plan on writing up some history and more about the organization and if I can get permission from Greg Alen Caires to use his career I'll convert that MgT 2e because it's a fun look insides the organization. I want to try and publish it as a TAS document on DriveThruRPG if I ever get it finished. And the least I'd like to post it here.

So, does anyone have more sources or additional information you can add to this? What about theories or stories to add? I'd really like more history and some of the personalities that would be associated with the Society.

MTU adds the Spacers Aid Society. They help distressed spacers (ship crew), even non members. They have limited resources (sometimes getting or giving assistance from/to TAS) but try to hook up spacers with jobs, medical aid or a cheap (free if needed) place they can sleep, cleanup and leave belongings when down on their luck. Aid in getting home is one of the things they try to do. Supported by members with dues or assistance as they can. Occasionally you might get a free (basic passage) on a Free Trader that owes them a favour other times a cut rate. Those aided are expected (honour system) to donate enough to cover the assistance when they can.

Definitely a shoe string operation, worst case might be one guy on a pension who will let you sleep on his couch but who "knows people" who might help you with a job or transport. He might even be a TAS member who hordes his free passages to help fellow spacers.
