Does anyone have some ideas for this adapting this world to Runequest? I found this http://www.tekumel.com/downloads/RQtekumel.pdf for Runequest 3rd edition, but it was a little bare bones.

I think sorcery as detailed in the main rulebooks would work for Tekumel's magic, since its about manipulating planar energy. Spells could be taught by certain temples.

I'm also curious how one would adapt culture and professions to Tekumel.
 
It is certainly possible to use the limited RQ3 rules as a starting point using 'Tékumel:Empire of the Petal throne' - or even the original 1975 'EPT' to fill in the details.

Professions are pretty straightforward (obviously change things like the skill "Riding" to something like "Courtesy" or "Artistic Expression" from the 'Companion').

You will also need a set of hit locations, but these are pretty easy to come up with. For example, I use the following for barrel-like Ahoggyá type creatures:

1-3 Right Rear Leg .33
4-6 Left Rear Leg .33
7-9 Right Front Leg .33
10-12 Left Front Leg .33
13-15 Body .40
16-17 Right Arm .25
18-19 Left Arm .25
20 Head .33
