Teeny Weeny Error

Digger

Mongoose
I have just been checking out the Brakiri in the new fleet book and I think I have found a very small error. The new Brivoki Warship has an in service date of 2264+ and 6 Falkosi flights; however when you check the Falkosi stats, it says it has an in service date of 2288+!

So the Brivoki couldn't have Falkosi flights 24 years before they came into service. Therefore, I have altered the in service date of the Falkosi to be 2228+ which then allows for all ships that can carry them.

it's only like the Juyaca, buiolt specifically to kill Drakh, it had an ISD some 30 years or soe before the drakh emerged ;-)
this was mentioned in feedback to matt, so it might have been changed :-)

Isn't there some AoG fluff about the Juyaca being designed for the Dilgar war but never built?

Therefore, I have altered the in service date of the Falkosi to be 2228+ which then allows for all ships that can carry them.

That matches the date in 1e.

I dunno to be honest, I'm sure someone will know though :-) Obviously the Corumai was built to kill Dilgar, but entered service unfinished or something. (maybe they forgot the armour hence it having hull 5 :-))

as far as i know the Juyaca is entirely a MGP product, no AOG involvement in either fluff or mini design.

*looks around for LBH to supply the knitty gritty*

Well, makes sense fluff-wise if you could take the ship but without the fighters (or preferably with a date-specific but now obsolete fighter). The dates are correct but obviously it can't take Falkiosi before they're invented :)

Correct. I invented that baby back for the fluff section of a book in hopes it would eventually get a model...and low and behold, it did. :) I love my job.

Cheers all,
Bry

Think it's more likely that the Falkosi date is wrong. Don't have the books to hand, but I can't see the 1e in-service date being shifted over half a century forward with nothing to replace it. Otherwise the Brokados and the light carriers are going to be a bit pointless with no fighters available when they're first built !

I know the USN carriers in VAS currently allow you to take aircraft that are not in service as seperat flights for a few years after the carrier is active.

To be fair, this may well happen with the Royal Navy's new carriers. . .

your'e being optimistic that the carriers will ever enter service!!

Well, some of those fighters could have been caught in the backwash of the B4 station going back and forth through time (I like the way "B4" sounds phonetically ). They then could have ended up arriving before they were invented that way. It then took 24 years in a facility like our Area 51 to reverse engineer the design for production. This would of course then be just in time to make the historical ISD release of the fighter. Sort of like transparent aluminum (or aluminium for some) in Star Trek.
