Tanks - how many MGs can fire in a single shoot action?

How many weapons can a tank fire in one shoot action?

I just want to make sure I'm reading this correctly.

Let's go with the M1A2 Abrams which has a whopping 3 MGs along with the cannon.

The cannon can fire once a turn.

Then the M2 .50 cal can fire along with the cannon, as for the special rule. Then one of its 2 normal MGs can fire on that same shoot action. For a total of 3 weapons being fired at once on the M1A2. And not only that, on the Abrams every one of those MGs can make its own fire zone.

That's a serious amount of firepower.

Going with the example of the M1A2, for its second shooting action could it fire all three machine guns?

The .50 cal says it may always be fired in addition to another weapon. The other two machine guns say that one of them may always be fired in addition to another weapon. So say we fire one of the MG's, we can then fire the .50 cal as it may always be fired in addition, and then fire the second MG as it can be fired in addition as well? Am I reading this right? If so, the Abrams gets my vote for urban operations.

The Abrams is seriously good at rolling up infantry, especially if they are foolish enough to stray in the open. If they keep their heads down, they may just last long enough for some support to come their way.

I cannot state this enough - if you find your infantry constantly get mown down - FIND COVER!!!

Good luck getting there. You are better off giving up a Hilux as a VIED.

That being said, could the Fedayeen place their IED on/in a Hilux and then move the Hilux forward next to a squad or tank to catch them in the radius?

Yep, with a move of 24" that Technical can quickly move towards the enemy.

However, with a damage of D10 or so, and no armor reduction, it's not likely that an IED will damage an M1A2 unless it's directly attached.

Don't see why not. The explosives don't blow up until the MEA player's next turn. Load the Hilux up with bombs, do a charge action to take out as many as you can, and let the bomb finish off the rest. Or load up the bombers and dismount the crew 2" apart and then move the hilux out and leave your string of jihadist landmines behind.
