Suspicious about SST Evo - The US connection

Ill make every effort to make it....and will be bringing my Marauder Platoon for some but-kicking!!!
I'll be honest, I'm pretty hesitant about embracing the "new rules", but those who know me, know I have an open mind, so I'll be there to see what all the fuss is about.

It'd be great to see you again. Looking forward to tomorrow. How many points should players plan on bringing to the event? 1500? 2000?

Hey all,
Sorry for not posting sooner. Took a day or so to spend some time with the family away from the store
Last Saturday when Alex visited and gave us an intro for SST Evo things went well. Those in attendance really liked the proposed changes to the rules. Alex was also able to provide background on issues regarding ACTA and BF Evo as well. I was asked a few questions regarding the Conan miniatures game (unfortunately after Alex had already left) so I'll direct those back to HQ.
I took a solid number of pics which I've finished resizing and will likely be posting to the store's web site tonight. Many of them feature the people in attendance reviewing the new rules and watching/listening to Alex play through several tutorial matches.
Over the course of the day we had visitors from our veteran SST community as well as communities surrounding other games as well. In addition to our current players we also had several new folks drop in who were anxious to get into SST and do their part.
As I was behind the camera pretty much all day I personally didn't get a lot of die rolling in. Before I post any of my observations I'd like to give the guys who got more action in a chance to post theirs.
